GLITTER SALE BREAKDOWN: PART TWO
After two+ hours scouring the racks, Heidi and I narrowed down our purchases to a reasonable amount.
Reasonable is hard, you guys.
First, I’ll reveal our heartbreaks:
Heidi wanted a pair of blue booties that were simply too big. And I ran into the same problem with an amazing (and BRAND NEW) coat from London’s Walter Baker. Size L is no bueno.
BUT LOOK AT WHAT WE DID GET!
Heidi found some white boots, an amazing coat (pics coming later,) and a treasure trove of jewelry.
I bought a new bag (photos later) and a pair of brand new Franco Sarto boots.
But the piece de resistance was THE DRESS I TRIED ON FOR MY PREVIEW OF THE SALE! It was there, waiting for me, ready to start our beautiful life together!
It’s a Carmen Marc Valvo beaded cocktail dress. An almost identical one (as seen in the photo with the skinny, gorgeous model) sells at Saks for $835.
I paid $80. (Plus an extra $10 for the wrap Heidi demanded I pair with it… she’s my most fashionable friend, so I didn’t argue.)
Now I just need an event at which to wear it!
For now, I’ll be parading around my kitchen, sans makeup and hair, enjoying my thrifting high, and plotting our strategy for next year’s sale.
